AMERICANISM · 2026–2027

Celebrate citizenship through creativity.

Ferndale Elks invites young people in grades 1–8 to explore American values through the Michigan Elks Coloring Contest and the Grand Lodge Americanism Essay Contest.

WHY IT MATTERS

Helping young people understand American values.

Americanism is more than a lesson in history. These contests encourage students to think about citizenship, constitutional rights, respect for our flag, veterans, community, and the responsibilities we share. Entries begin at the local Lodge and may advance through district, state, and national competition.
